I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this Dartmouth team several times now, returning whenever they welcome new staff. Rather than asking everyone to leave the office for individual appointments, I bring the studio to them.

For this team, I set up right in their laboratory, creating a compact studio setup in a space they already have available. It doesn’t take much room—just enough space for the backdrop, lighting, and camera—and once everything is ready, each new team member is in and out in about 3–5 minutes.

Then they can get right back to their day.

Consistency, every time

One of the biggest advantages of photographing a growing team this way is consistency.

Because I’m returning to the same client and recreating the same lighting, background, and approach, new employees can be photographed months—or even years—after the original team without their images looking like they came from a completely different photographer or studio.

For this group, we’ve kept things simple with a clean studio-white background. It works beautifully with a wide range of clothing choices and gives the team a polished, cohesive look.

It’s also incredibly practical. The clean background can easily be removed when needed, making the images flexible for websites, staff pages, marketing materials, presentations, and other brand collateral.
